Happy October! Fall is in full swing, and our sweaters have come out to play! Schools are back in session, and there is nothing like the autumn colors and scenery of New York.
Things continue to be wonderfully busy at HVC, with our One-Day Symposium taking place in a mere 11 days on October 12, 2018. “Shaping the Future: It Starts With Us”, which will honor and thank our care managers for their incredible work, hosts incredible healthcare speakers, including Dr. Amy Boutwell, speaking on “ASPIRE to Deliver Effective Transitional Care,” and Peg Elmer, talking about “Challenges of Change: Health Home Care Management.” In addition to a Revenue Cycle Management panel on Pathway to Success: People, Process, Performance, we also have a number of breakout sessions focusing on topics such as the opioid epidemic, transitions of care tips for supervisors, becoming agents of change, and refilling your cup when it comes to burnout – and focusing strategies on self-awareness and self-care. We look forward to seeing all of you at the Double Tree Hotel in Tarrytown, NY, for this one of a kind event.
On a final note, this is the last HVC blog post I will be writing, as life takes me in another direction. It has been an honor to put together the Symposium, manage the HVC newsletter & blog over the past 1 year, as well as be a part of the amazing HVC team on a daily basis. Leaving is bittersweet, and I will miss more than I have words for. HVC is in good hands, and we thank you for your hard work and support always.
